Folding bottom set

With what range of hands does my opponent smooth call the flop then 4bet into me?

No reads. I'm new to the table and yet to play a hand.

can't this be a draw? spades or JT (or both)? He calls while it's still multiway, but once you raise he knows he's headsup so he decides he can go to the wall.

The problem with this logic is that he's pretty sure YOU'RE not folding, so this is less a semibluff.

You play higher than me, but I usually don't fold sets once I flop them until the board is a complete disaster (4 to a straight and/or flush).

Good fold. You're basically hoping and praying that he only has a straight in this spot, which still makes you a healthy dog.
